The Great Oak Society
of The Garden Club of America
As our nation’s official tree, the oak stands as a powerful symbol of strength, stability, and longevity. It was under the canopy of an oak tree that Elizabeth Price Martin first envisioned the framework for The Garden Club of America, and it is the enduring attributes of an oak tree that inspired the namesake of the GCA’s legacy giving circle, The Great Oak Society.
Formed in 2013, the GCA’s centennial year, The Great Oak Society celebrates and honors the special community of supporters who include The Garden Club of America in their estate plans or other planned giving.
